Mediterra Appoints Director of Golf

July 26, 2011 -- Mediterra has welcomed Rob Anderson as its new Director of Golf. Rob comes to Mediterra after serving in the same position at Belfair Plantation in Bluffton, South Carolina, a premier 36-hole residential community. Previously, Rob held the position of Head Golf Professional at the Frederica Golf Club, Sea Island, Georgia, and The Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo, Florida. Prior experience included four years as Assistant Golf Professional at the prestigious Caves Valley Golf Club in Owens Mills, Maryland. Rob began his career as a seasonal professional at the Bonita Bay Club and the Medalist Club. He is a Georgia Tech graduate, where he played college golf with both Stewart Cink and Matt Kuchar.

Rob grew up around the game of golf, as a member of both Bay Hill and Lake Nona Clubs in Florida. He loves the rich tradition and sense of honor the game portrays. "Joining the Mediterra family as Director of Golf alongside General Manager and CEO Tom Wallace is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Along with Mr. Wallace and our superb team, it will be my personal goal to deliver a remarkable golf and Club experience for our members and guests,” Rob said. “This is a special time in the history of The Club at Mediterra, and I look forward to providing an experience that our members will be most proud of. The Club at Mediterra has the facilities and amenities to be a world-class Club, and I am extremely excited about being a part of the team that will take The Club to that level."
