Visitors can experience Mediterra and its single-family estate homes, coach homes and maintenance-free villas that help define its lifestyle during the Model Homes Showcase, a multi-day fundraising event for the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples, Southwest Florida’s newest – and already renowned – museum.
Mediterra, which recently recorded sales of five new homes – each priced over $1 million – in only four days, will feature nine luxury model homes on the tour.
Built by Southwest Florida’s premier homebuilders, the Model Homes Showcase event is open for guest tours each Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. March 11 through April 1.
Four of the newly opened, fully furnished model homes will make their debut during the Mediterra Model Homes Showcase: three built by London Bay Homes, named America’s Best Builder in 2008 by Builder Magazine, and one by Stock Construction, the newest member of Mediterra’s elite Preferred Builders program.
The homes also provide the ideal canvas for art exhibits from Naples’ finest galleries including Clyde Butcher Photography known for his personal relationship with nature; Sheldon Fine Art specializing in still lifes, landscapes, seascapes and nautical scenes; The Sultan Gallery showcasing the work of leading local artists including photographers, sculptors, creators of pottery and distinctive craft items; and The Sweet Art Gallery featuring contemporary artwork by more than 40 artists. All artwork is available for purchase with 10 percent of the proceeds directly benefiting the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples.
The showcase is open to the public with a $5 dollar option donation benefiting the children’s museum. Additional event details are available at www.ModelShowcaseEvent.com or by calling 239-465-5154.
The tour promises to captivate both new and previous visitors to Naples’ top master-planned community, which was created in the spirit of the Mediterranean region, with lush landscaping and winding roads reminiscent of the European countryside.
The heart of Mediterra, of course, is its homes – majestic single-family estates, coach homes and maintenance-free villas that capture the Southwest Florida lifestyle with large al fresco areas, sunlit interiors, luxury finishes and flexible floorplans buyers can tailor to their needs.
In Cortile, a secluded neighborhood with only 46 Estate and Villa homesites, London Bay Homes offers the Girona, a three-bedroom, three-bath, maintenance-free Villa home with 3,526 square feet under air and more than 5,000 total square feet. The fully furnished model home includes an expansive pool and premium upgrades and is priced at $2.235 million. Homes in Cortile start at just over $1 million, with homesites beginning in the $300,000s.
The Isabella II, one of London Bay’s popular Reserve Collection of homes, is offered in the Serata neighborhood, where all 36 homesites are positioned against one of Mediterra’s many lakes. The Isabella II is a three-bedroom, three-bath floorplan with 3,009 square feet of living space in the home’s 4,444 square-foot design. The home features a large master suite that occupies one side of the home. The great room design also includes a café area that opens onto the outdoor living space. The fully furnished model with pool, site premium and other upgrades sold for $1.57 million but a replacement model is underway on lot 28a. Homes in Serata begin in the $800,000s with homesites available in the high $200,000s.
The Giulia model is new to London Bay’s maintenance-free Villa Collection. The model is being built in Mediterra’s Lucarno community, with lakeside views and a strong European influence permeating the neighborhood’s architectural design. The Giulia features a great room floorplan with three bedrooms, three baths and a study or bonus room included in the 2,534 square-foot design. Overall, the home includes more than 4,000 square feet of total area. The fully furnished Giulia model with pool, three-car garage, site premium and upgrades is priced at $1.135 million. Homes in Lucarno begin in the $700,000s with homesites available in the high $100,000s.
The Muirfield II model is presented by Stock Construction. This fully furnished home features four-bedrooms, three and one-half-baths with 3,202 square feet under air and a total of 4,809 square feet. It includes an attached three-car garage and a screened and covered lanai with outdoor kitchen. The great room-style design includes a formal dining room and a private study, priced at $1.35 million. Home and homesite packages in Buonasera begin in the $800,000s.
The community’s 10 builders represent the area’s most successful and award-winning homebuilding companies, and include BCB Homes, Bordeaux Homes, Frey &Son, Gulfshore Homes, Harbourside Custom Homes, Harwick Homes, Kurtz Homes, R&D Companies and Taylor Morrison. Available home designs range from the $600,000s to more than $7 million.
Mediterra residents say the community’s incomparable offering of lifestyle amenities – including a private beach club on the Gulf of Mexico, 36 holes of Tom Fazio-designed championship golf and a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, swimming pool and spa treatments – set this community apart, even among its peers in the exclusive Naples luxury market.
Mediterra is clearly defined by lifestyle, and the 25,000-square-foot clubhouse is the focal point. Members enjoy elegant dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts, relax on the breezy outdoor verandah for a casual meal with friends, engage in an activity-filled social calendar, and stay active at the state-of-the-art Sports Club and its amenities.
Mediterra is a golfer’s paradise. Its two challenging courses thrill golfers of all skill levels. Set among lakes, wetlands and stands of statuesque pine trees, membership is limited to just 225 members per 18 holes. Currently golf memberships have reached capacity; however a limited number of 50 golf memberships are available with the purchase of a new home.
The Golf Learning Center helps golfers hone their skills, and offers indoor and outdoor hitting stations, video equipment with launch monitor, a 2.5-acre short game practice complex with three greens, and a staff of certified PGA professionals.
Having it all” at Mediterra is further defined by its 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, which offers an elevated swimming pool, sundecks, casual dining and a full bar. Set along 200 feet of private shoreline, the Beach Club caters to every whim with valets providing everything from beach chairs and umbrellas to refreshing beverages served pool- and beachside.
Since its debut in 2001, Mediterra has been named Community of the Year seven times by the Collier Building Industry Association, signifying its dominance in the Sand Dollar Award competition.
Mediterra’s Sales Gallery is open daily and is located on Livingston Road, two miles north of Immokalee Road and west of I-75 in Naples.
